Welcome to the World Carp Classic Website
We are delighted to welcome you to the World Carp Classic website. 2008 is a very special year in the history of the event as we will be celebrating our 10th Anniversary. It is great news that we will be returning to the lake where it all began….. the famous Lac de Madine in the Meuse region of France.
You can only wonder how big the carp will be now that were caught at 30 and 40lbs 10 years ago, and we are looking forward to seeing them again. We have been granted an exceptional dispensation to have access to more bank space than ever before and importantly, boats will be allowed for the first time in the competion at Madine.

Due to the incredible response to the competition this year, and the speed at which places were snapped up, we have had a situation where there has been a great many anglers who wished to take part who have ultimately missed out for 2008.
Whilst we are extremely sorry that some of you cannot be there this year, we hope that you will understand that it is physically impossible to accomodate everyone who wishes to take part. So, in order that it is made totally fair to all concerned, we have decided to set up a pre-booking system, where all-comers are welcome to apply to be included onto the list for places for the 2009 event.
To apply to be placed on this list, please follow the registration process for the 2008 event, which is now closed, and your details will be captured and included onto our list for 2009.

WCC Forum
The forum was created as an extension of the main website, to allow site visitors to enter into dialogue with the WCC team.
Hopefully the forum will provide a useful and worthwhile asset to the WCC organisation team, sponsors, participants and visitors alike.

Team Carp Addict visit Madine
Steve Howard writes - "Some may suggest that the WCC put Madine on the map, bringing it to the attention and forefront of the minds of countless anglers. Others will tell you that the incredible Lac de Madine was entirely responsible for the doubtless success of the WCC… I prefer to accept something inbetween that, and believe that both the lake and the competition were a match made in heaven, both playing equal roles and complimenting each other. It was (and is yet again now) a remarkably exceptional pairing, put together in a quite unique “Fred Astaire & Ginger Rodgers” blend that stands the test of time."
