Steve Howard writes - "Some may suggest that the WCC put Madine on the map, bringing it to the attention and forefront of the minds of  countless anglers.  Others will tell you that the incredible Lac de Madine was entirely responsible for the doubtless success of the WCC… I prefer to accept something inbetween that, and believe that both the lake and the competition were a match made in heaven, both playing equal roles and complimenting each other. Andy Chambers banks his 1st Madine carp which by his standards was small at a modest 30lb+.  Never the less, he was delighted and what is more he has got a lot of fish right in front of him just 50 yards off the shore.  It will be interesting over the next few day to see what comes out.  The pal that is fishing with him lost one last night, so they are certainly in for a good time.....
